Footage filmed by Max Balesteri captures the dramatic moment a skyscraper under construction collapsed near Chatuchak Park in Bangkok following a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck near Mandalay, Myanmar, on March 28.

In the video, Max can be heard saying, "Not sure what’s happening in Bangkok right now; I was on the BTS when it started shaking like an earthquake at a stop, and we all got off to see this in the distance... now looking like ashes are falling."

The quake’s powerful tremors caused the unfinished high-rise to crumble, killing at least three people and leaving 43 construction workers missing.

Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain service was halted as authorities declared the city an emergency zone, responding to widespread structural damage and falling debris.

Rescue efforts are underway as emergency teams search for survivors and assess the extent of the destruction.
