Powerful earthquake causes water to overflow from pools in Bangkok, Thailand
On March 28, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand, @benjbostonjr shared a video of a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake shaking the Thai capital, causing buildings to sway. In the footage, the author is seen running out of a building to evacuate. Upon reaching outside, they notice the tremor was strong enough to make water overflow from swimming pools, even from high-rise buildings. The epicenter was located in central Myanmar, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) east of Monywa. There were no immediate reports of the earthquake’s impact in Myanmar.
