Flight Diverted Because Passenger Refused to Give Up Lighter

Info from Licensor: "I was on a flight from Kansas City to Phoenix and the passenger in front of me kept lighting his lighter and was asked to put it away. He didn't want to. The pilot came on the intercom and told him to give it to the flight attendant until the end of the flight or the flight will be diverted. We ended up being diverted to Denver and he got off the plane. Police were waiting for him at the gate. We wrote statements and had to wait an hour or so before resuming our flight to Phoenix. Many people missed their connecting flights."
