GiGi lives about 7 hours away, so our visits aren’t as frequent as they were when we lived in the same state. Grace and Katie have a very special bond with their GiGi, and they know anytime she’s around, there will be no shortage of love and cuddles.

What makes this connection even more remarkable is that, even though Grace is blind, she instinctively knows who her GiGi is by the sound of her voice and the unique scent that belongs to her. The moment GiGi walks through the door, Grace's ears perk up, and her little tail starts to wag, signaling her excitement. It’s truly heartwarming to witness how Grace navigates her surroundings with such confidence and joy, relying on her other senses to find her beloved grandma.

During GiGi's visits, the chihuahuas are spoiled with attention, endless belly rubs, and their favorite toys, reinforcing the bond they share. We make sure to capture these moments on video, reminding each other that every second spent with GiGi is a treasure, regardless of how long our visits are.
