While speaking to Emma Chamberlain for Vogue at the Tailored for You-themed fashion event on Monday night, the singer-songwriter revealed the silver Thom Browne ensemble was actually an "Easter egg" for her upcoming album Virgin. Noting that the design was inspired by a cummerbund, Lorde - real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor – explained, "This is custom Thom Browne, It's kind of my creation. It's something of an Easter egg. All will be revealed. I just love the open back. To me, it represents where I'm at gender-wise. I feel like a man and a woman, you know?"
