VARIOUS OF PALESTINIAN MEN CARRYING FUNERALS AND CHANTINGKHAN YOUNIS, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 7, 2025: At least 32 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, May 7, according to local hospital sources. In Khan Younis, an airstrike on a house belonging to the al-Qudra family killed eight people, including a child. In nearby Bani Suheila, two more were killed when another home was struck. In Deir al-Balah, an air raid hit the Munasira camp, which was sheltering displaced persons, killing three, including a child. Another strike in the Tel al-Zaatar area of Jabalia refugee camp killed three and injured several others. In Gaza City, seven people were killed when Israeli forces struck the "Al-Kerameh" school in the Tuffah neighborhood, where many displaced civilians were taking shelter. Rescue teams are searching for survivors amid reports of people trapped beneath the rubble. At least 853 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 5,758 others injured since the outbreak of the Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, according to Israeli military figures. The Israeli army has launched a brutal military onslaught on Gaza, killing more than 52,600 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
