Leah Marie set out for sushi but ended up in a viral, jaw-dropping encounter with a fully styled possum in the Bishop Arts District.

Dressed in makeup, a hair bow, and manicured nails, the possum was almost too surreal to believe. Alongside its devoted owner, who also had a baby dog in a carrier and a bunny in a travel crate, the group learned the touching backstory.

The owner rescued the injured possum after it fell from a tree a year ago, nursing it back to health despite its near-total paralysis. Now, she showers her animals with care, bringing them out with treats to share their joy with the world.

The adorable and heartwarming scene has since racked up 8 million views on TikTok.

My friend, son and I were out in the bishop arts area in Dallas trying to find somewhere to eat when we spotted a possum across the street. We couldn’t believe our eyes so we darted across to see if what we were seeing was real. A possum with makeup, clothes, hair boy, and nails done. We were almost too stunned to speak. On top of that the owner had a baby dog in a baby carrier, and a bunny in a travel dog carrier. She told us the story of how she rescued the injured possum from an accident, it fell out of a tree about a year ago. From the fall the possum is almost completely paralyzed it seems. Since then she’s taken care of it, fed it, bathed it etc. Possums play dead when they’re scared so the fact the possum is up and alert means she’s okay. The owner was also very sweet. She bring the animals snacks whenever their out. Showing the possum and her other pets brings her joy and everybody else who sees.
