This is the adorable moment a Golden Retriever clung to a toddler's leg to stop him from leaving.

The affectionate pup did its best to keep the boy from going by wrapping its front paws around his leg in Henan, China.

Footage captured by Mr Wei shows the dog sitting on the ground, holding on tightly as the child tries to move on February 9.

The boy's mother attempted to intervene by lifting him up, prompting the playful dog to tug at her jacket.

Moments later, as she manages to pick up her son, the determined pooch clings to her trousers, refusing to let them go.
