The picturesque Palmerston Course, one of two championship courses at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, set the stage for this year's exhilarating British Speedgolf Pairs Championship. Speedgolf is an exciting golf format that combines golf and running. The golf here is difficult enough, but running on a long and undulating hilly terrain over 5 miles delivered a truly athletic challenge. Bathed in warm sunshine, 22 team pairs were set off at 5-minute intervals to vy for the title.

Speedgolf Pairs is a thrilling Foursome format, where teamwork reigns supreme, each pair navigates the course on foot with a single ball, alternating shots amidst intense communication. Players run between shots as there is no use of buggies allowed. Teams embarked on their quest for glory by scoring the lowest speedgolf score, which combines golf strokes with the time taken to complete the course

Fuelled by adrenalin, most pairs unleashed a sprint finish, after putting their final shot on the 18th green, as at British Speedgolf Championships, there is always a running start and finish!

The overall 2025 British Speedgolf Pairs Championship winners were defending champions a PGA Pro pairing of Luke Willett and Luke Bone (Team Name: Sub 17) who shot 83 strokes in 43 minutes and 49 seconds giving them a Speedgolf Score of 126:49.

Among the diverse field, there were French, Belgian, German and South African players and also a mixture of PGA pros and amateur golfers. The format is fast and the ethos is fun.
