On 18 May Shahdol Madhya Pradesh, District Mauganj, Naigadhi Block, Village Bairiha, 100 feet deep and 2 feet diameter well filled with poisonous gas in which a cow has fallen.

Under the guidance of cow protector Brijendra Pandey, the district administration of Mauganj, NDRF team carried out a difficult rescue operation.

Gaurav Mishra, President The Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan said that a pit was dug parallel to the well. After a 12-hour long rescue operation, Nandi was safely taken out of the well containing poisonous gas.

In which Rewa Commissioner Mr. B.S. Jamod, Mauganj Collector Mr. Sanjay Jain, S.D.M. Mauganj, Nai Garhi Police Station Incharge Mr. J.S. Thakur, NDRF/SDRF all residents of Bairiha village along with Gausevak Brijendra Pandey who led the entire rescue operation.
