Newsflare Exclusive- Showing that the gap fixed on floating floor is no longer visible since it is now under the baseboard where it belongs

At first, I was a little frustrated by how many people pointed out there would be a gap on the other end — like I wouldn’t have noticed it and just left a random gap in the middle of the floor. But then I realized not everyone is familiar with how floating floors work, so I figured I’d explain.
The piece I shifted was right against the wall. Floating floors are intentionally installed with a small gap around the edges to allow for natural expansion and contraction. When I moved the plank over, I simply reclaimed that expansion space, sliding the gap back under the baseboards where it’s supposed to be.
If the gap had been in the middle of the floor, I still would have shifted the end plank to close it, preserving the expansion gap at the perimeter where it belongs.

Hope this helps clear some things up!
