After receiving a comment suggesting she use butterfly bandages instead, she made a follow-up video comparing the two methods. But what sent the clip viral was viewers debating whether she was using the butterfly bandages correctly or incorrectly, when in reality, she was pulling the “flesh” of the tomato together.

I made a video to show some at home sutures I got. I was very excited about them, and demonstrated how they could be used on a tomato. I received one comment on the video from a guy saying to just use butterfly bandages. So I made a video response showing each bandage being used. The video went viral because people are thinking I used butterfly bandages wrong, when you can clearly see in the video that I am trying to pull the flesh together.
