This is the amusing moment a grandmother took her pet dog for a ride in a motorcycle sidecar.

Ms Chang and her family spotted the pensioner driving a tricycle with her Border Collie in the passenger seat in Inner Mongolia, China.

Footage shows the elderly woman stopping on the road as a white hatchback attempted to overtake on the busy motorway on March 20.

This prompted the canine to bark at the driver, causing the car to reverse back into its lane.

The pair then proceeded to drive away once the path was clear.

Ms Chang said: 'I was taking a nap when I heard the dog barking by the roadside. It was a cool granny taking her pet for a ride. I really loved her lifestyle.

'I found out the dog was barking at the car trying to take a shortcut. It was so clever and protective of its owner. It's amazing how humans and animals sometimes react in similar ways.'

Border Collies are known for their intelligence, strong protective instincts, and loyalty. They are highly alert and quick to respond to potential threats, often acting as attentive guardians for their owners.
