Torrential rains caused widespread chaos in Mexico City on Monday, June 2, resulting in traffic gridlock, downed trees, and the suspension of Metro Line A service.
The Mexico City government reported flooding in 53 areas, primarily in Iztapalapa, Xochimilco, Tlalpan, and Tláhuac, following the intense rains recorded.
