US, Bakersfield: Compton Anti-ICE Protest Escalates Car Drives Toward Deputies Part 3
Bakersfield, United States - June 07, 2025 06/07/2025 12:00 pm GMT-0700 Compton – A car was set ablaze during a protest at the intersection of Atlantic and Alondra Boulevards. The demonstration, which was against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), escalated as law enforcement responded with pepper balls and flashbangs to control the crowd. Protestors are continuing to fill the streets as they face off with deputies. KNN video shows a car driving toward deputies, that is when deputies shot a flash bang canister at the woman’s vehicle causing front bumper damage. The woman was then shot at with pepper balls as she raised her window. Demonstrators keep arriving and keep attempting to get near the wired off area. Heavy amounts of tear gas and pepper balls are being deployed.
