VARIOUS OF TENSION BETWEEN NYPD AND PROTESTERS NEW YORK, US - JUNE 9: Hundreds of protesters gathered in lower Manhattan on Monday evening, June 9, to denounce mass arrests carried out by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), accusing the agency of targeting undocumented migrants and violating human rights. The demonstration, organized by immigrant advocacy groups, took place outside Federal Plaza. Some protesters were detained during the demonstrations. The protests began last Friday after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents raided local businesses and detained hundreds of people suspected of living in the US illegally. The Trump administration said the ICE raids will continue as part of the president's plan to crack down on illegal immigration.
