When TikTok user ‘nawtywags2.0’ found himself in a bind, a broken whipper snipper, and a looming rental inspection, he didn’t panic. He got creative.

He sat down and brainstormed for half an hour. Then, inspiration struck: a grinder + zip ties.

Digging into his shed, he rigged up an improvised grass-cutting tool, attaching zip ties to the grinder and trimming them to size.

The hack worked far better than expected, turning his desperate solution into a genius shortcut. His video, filmed in Australia, racked up a million views.

My whipper snipper broke and I had a rental inspection the next day so the grass had to be cut but I had no other way of cutting it so I sat down and had a think for about half an hour, then it clicked to me to grab my grinder out of the shed put some zip ties on the end of it and cut them down to size. I cannot believe how well it worked.
