Circus Acrobats Practice Teeterboard Tricks
Occurred on May 16, 2025 / Stockholm, Sweden
Info from Licensor: "Simon Malmsten, Lovisa Wengerzink, August Rohde Aass and Tobias Niemoller are four circus artists based in Stockholm. The discipline that they are specialized within is called teeterboard. All four artist are graduates from SKH (Stockholm University of the Arts) and together they formed Blauwal Company.
Blauwal Company is a platform for them to stand on. A platform for them to share their art, explore new depths within the world of teeterboard (what it means and can mean) and to share the joy and passion for movement and creativity with a wide audience. This clip wass filmed during a recidency at Frihamnstorget in Stockholm during May month and is a part of a new long-term project, Prolog. Prolog is a site specific project.
Taking our skills as circus artist and applying it on a site/ a place that does not necessarily support the practical things we do, but to allow it to alter our minds and push our creativity in directions we would never choose with perfect conditions. We do this to highlight the surrounding and architecture, in ways neither our audience nor ourselves, perceived it prior to the experience of Prolog. Prolog is our introduction to the world of performance. This projects has a clear and intriguing direction, and more is to come."
