Released mole quickly burrows into soil
This is the amusing moment a released mole quickly burrowed into the soil.
Mr Wang and his friends rescued the mammal and took it to farmland in Yunnan, China, on August 24.
Footage shows the animal clawing at the ground, digging until it can fit inside the hole.
It entered the tunnel, and the surface of the ground could be seen moving as it crawled underground.
Moles are adapted to living underground, and their tunnels provide shelter from predators and a stable environment.
They dig holes primarily to access food, hunting insects like earthworms, grubs, and other small invertebrates living underground. They use their extensive tunnel systems to trap and access prey, essentially creating an underground hunting ground where they can easily find food.
