Israeli forces continue demolitions in Nur Shams refugee camp
SHOTLIST TULKARM, WEST BANK, PALESTINE (JUNE 23, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. VARIOUS OF ISRAELI MILITARY BULLDOZERS DEMOLISHING PALESTINIAN HOMES 2. VARIOUS OF ISRAELI FORCES BEING SEEN IN AREATULKARM, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - JUNE 23: The Israeli army continues demolishing Palestinian homes in the Nur Shams refugee camp in the city of Tulkarm as part of ongoing attacks on Monday, June 23. Israeli forces have been carrying out operations in the camp for 127 consecutive days, amid rising tensions on the ground. The army expanded its offensive, which began in the northern West Bank city of Jenin on January 21, to include Tulkarm and the Nur Shams refugee camps. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the demolitions are part of a plan announced by Israel in May targeting 106 buildings. The plan includes the demolition of 58 buildings in Tulkarm camp and 48 in Nur Shams camp, citing reasons such as "road clearance" and "altering the area's geography." Official data shows that more than 5,000 families—around 25,000 people—have been displaced from Jenin and Nur Shams camps due to Israeli attacks. At least 400 homes have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 have been partially damaged.
