Several villages in Laos were submerged in floodwater following heavy rainfall.

The intense downpour caused streams and ponds to overflow, flooding homes, hospitals, bridges, and parts of industrial plantations.

Numerous roads became inaccessible, affecting transportation and limiting mobility in the region.

Authorities carried out inspections across the affected areas to assess the situation. Residents living near rivers were urged to move their livestock and belongings to higher ground.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a bulletin forecasting continued light to moderate rain and thunderstorms across the country, with some areas expected to face heavier downpours and occasional strong winds.
