Los Angeles, United States - July 02, 2025 07/01/2025 08:29 pm GMT-0700 WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Firefighters battled a greater alarm blaze Tuesday evening in a three-story townhome (two stories over a parking area) on the 21800 block of West Burbank Boulevard. Flames were visible on the second and third floors, leading to the destruction of the townhome. Light smoke was reported in the adjacent units; however, no fire was found. Officials confirmed that no residents were inside the units at the time the fire broke out; however, a pet feline was rescued alive from the burning townhome and was medically evaluated and treated by firefighters at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. There were no human injuries reported. Firefighters battled the blaze, which escalated to a greater alarm status, as they worked to prevent the fire from spreading into the adjoining townhomes. According to the LAFD, 83 firefighters extinguished the flames in 31 minutes. The fire consumed the second and third floors, along with the attic in the multi-level townhome.
