TikTok user @neck_slappah, Grant, has struck viral gold with a talent few saw coming: slapping his neck to recreate iconic songs, including the instantly recognizable theme from Pirates of the Caribbean.

What started as a one-take experiment turned into a viral sensation, with viewers stunned by his ability to mimic orchestral rhythms using just his neck. The video, which features the intro and chorus of the Pirates theme, has drawn thousands of comments from fans who say they’ve never seen anything like it.

Grant first discovered his skill at age 15, inspired by seniors on his football team who were flicking their cheeks to make “raindrop” sounds. He began experimenting with body percussion and realized his neck could produce pitch-controlled slaps, a discovery that led him to challenge himself with full songs.

In the video I’m slapping my neck to the song from Pirates Of The Caribbean. It’s basically the intro and a little bit of the chorus that most people recognize. It only took one take and I figured it was worth posting. Was very surprised about the reaction it got, I never posted thinking it would get that much attention. I guess a lot of people can’t do what I do with my neck so it’s pretty fun to see how people react to it. I post more now of different songs since people do like it.

I learned that I could do this skill back when I was 15 when I was freshman in high school. I saw some seniors during football flicking their cheeks and making a “raindrop” sound. I started slapping different parts of my body and when I hit my neck, I realized I could change the pitch and sound. From then on I would hear a song and challenge myself on if I could play it. I quickly realized it was like humming. If I can hum and song, then I can play it on my neck.

Throughout my life I never really did it unless it was at a party or if someone asked if I had a cool talent. Lately tho, I posted a neck slapping video on tik tok and it blew up. My first ever video got over 70k views and over 10k likes. I was blown away. I then kept posting and out of no where I had a couple videos get over 300k views and 70k likes. Not what I expected at all. Now I post for fun and for the sole reason to entertain people. Some people even comment that they were having a bad day and my videos made it better, which is pretty cool.
