A year after Soundgarden broke up, the musician joined the Seattle-based rock band led by vocalist/guitarist Eddie Vedder in 1998. But following almost three decades together, Cameron issued a statement on Monday in which he announced he was leaving the group, also comprised of Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready. "After 27 fantastic years, I have taken my final steps down the drum riser for the mighty Pearl Jam.
