A seagull catches cheese in slow motion on a rooftop cafe in Istanbul, with stunning views of the city in the background.
While visiting Istanbul as a tourist, I had the chance to dine at the famous Seven Hills rooftop restaurant — a place known for its incredible view and its playful tradition of feeding seagulls right from your table.
In this first-person video, filmed on the rooftop, I hold out a plastic fork with a piece of cheese. A seagull suddenly swoops in with perfect timing, captured in stunning slow motion, and snatches half the cheese mid-air. The remaining piece flies back toward me — the camera operator — adding a spontaneous and humorous twist to the clip. The iconic rooftops and skyline of Istanbul form a cinematic backdrop to this unforgettable moment.
