The symbol, resembling a circle with diagonal lines in the middle, puzzled many as it slowly formed in the clear blue sky around 7:30 p.m. Reports quickly flooded social media platforms and community apps like Citizen, with users posting photos and videos asking: “What is this?”, “Is this a UFO message?”, and "Were all gonna die." The mystery was short-lived, however, as the skywriting was part of a viral marketing stunt for Monday night's world premiere of the highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot in Los Angeles. The iconic “4” emblem — synonymous with Marvel’s first family of superheroes — was drawn by a skywriting aircraft above the city as a nod to the team’s big-screen return. The premiere was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, with the main cast and director in attendance.
