Harness training took a wild turn for Brittany’s cat George, whose unpredictable energy turned a calm treat session into a living room frenzy. Known for his sudden flinging episodes when overstimulated, George was doing fine until he bumped into something. Within seconds, he launched into full fight mode, ricocheting off furniture and narrowly missing the television. Brittany, who had been trying to train her cats for outdoor adventures, captured the chaos on video, including her dog’s swift dodge from the scene.

1. I was working on harness training my cats so they can explore the world outside the backyard, perhaps at the park with the dog. My other cat takes well to it but George can be more sensitive - he gets overstimulated easily and is really unpredictable.He looks slow and lumbering but can turn it on if he needs!! He was doing well in his harness, eating treats calmly and all of a sudden he started flinging himself around like that. That flinging episode is pretty common for george whether there’s a harness involved or not and tends to escalate when he bumps into things, as he did in the video. I’ve been dying to capture it on camera bc it’s really so crazy and finally got the chance to. I helped him out of the harness once he stopped bouncing around! my dog was collateral damage and had been before so she was quite ready to jump out of the way lol

how my tv survived I do not know (no cats were harmed in the making of this video) george has worn his harness before. george was just fine wearing the harness 2 seconds before when he had treats in front of him. george reacts like this to a lot of things and when he’s jumping around, he gets more freaked out when he bumps into things, as you can see here. george is fine, george is loved, george is quitting harness training.
