VARIOUS OF DEMONSTRATORS GATHERED MARCHING TO PROTEST FOOD CRISIS IN GAZA WHILE HOLDING FLAGS AND BANNERS / SOME PROTESTORS HITTING EMPTY POTS WITH SPOONSSANTIAGO, CHILE - AUG. 9, 2025: Hundreds of people took part in a march in Santiago, Chile, as part of the pro-Palestine demonstration called "The Empty Pots" on Saturday, Aug. 9. Participants gathered to express their concerns through a protest, aiming to raise awareness about the food crisis in Gaza. Israel has faced mounting outrage for its genocide in Gaza, where it has killed more than 61,000 people since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and led to deaths by hunger and starvation. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
