Lesley thought her missing wheelie bin was being borrowed by a neighbour, until she finally retrieved it and discovered it was crawling with maggots.

Marson, whose number was printed on the bin, had waited patiently for the rightful owner to put it out for collection. When she did recover it, she was shocked to find the interior swarming with maggot wriggles.

The TikTok clip has since amassed 298,300 views.

Lesley told Newsflare: “I don’t put food in my bin... All my kitchen scraps go in a food-waste caddy, so this definitely wasn’t my rubbish.”
