15. COMPETITION, PARTICIPANTS PREPARING AND THROWING ROCKS TOWARDS TARGET (TWO SHOTS) BOGOTA, COLOMBIA - AUG. 29, 2025: Fans from various countries gathered in Colombia for the 3rd edition of Tejo World Cup, an international tournament highlighting the country’s national sport.

The Tejo World Cup was held in Bogotá, Colombia, on Friday, Aug. 29, bringing together representatives from 16 embassies as well as business and community leaders to celebrate the country’s national sport.

Tejo, which has been played in Colombia for more than 500 years, involves throwing metal discs (tejos) at a clay target containing small gunpowder packets that explode on impact. The board is covered with clay and set at a 45-degree angle.

The game blends competition with festivity and is considered a vibrant expression of Colombian culture.
