Storyline: Cooler climate draws summer holidaymakers to Southwest China's Guizhou [Voice_over] Southwest China's Guizhou Province is attracting a surge in holidaymakers this summer, eager for a respite from the sweltering heat. Nestled in mountains, Bijie City is literally a "cool" summer destinations in Guizhou, where homestays and cafes are scattered along the slopes and the average temperature is just 19 degrees Celsius. The manager of one homestay says they've been fully booked since April. [Sound_bite] Xi Kaiyun, manager, homestay: "We have 62 rooms. They've been fully booked from April until now." [Sound_bite] Zhao Yusheng, visitor: "I came here for the first time four years ago. My first impression was the climate – it's so cool and perfect for us senior folks to vacation. The people here are honest, and the owner is very kind to us. So, we are here every year, every time in a group of 20 or 30." [Voice_over] RV camping in the region is also popular this year. To accommodate high demand, local authorities have transformed a parking lot into a temporary RV campsite, equipped with water, electricity, and garbage disposal services which has serviced more than 700 RVs already this summer.
