This is the impressive moment a Golden Retriever demonstrated his forklift driving skills.

The seven-year-old pooch, wearing a silver helmet, confidently operated the machine in a yard as his proud owner watched in Liaoning, China.

Footage shows the dog sitting inside the cab, pressing the ignition button to start the engine with his paw on August 20.

The canine then maneuvered the four-wheeler in a straight line and even pulled one of the levers to lift the forklift.

Mr. Bi said: 'My dog cannot grip the steering wheel or change the gears, so I pre-selected the gear and set the direction before he rides it.

'I gradually taught him how to drive the vehicle using repeated gestures and commands, building his ability step by step until he could complete the ignition, lifting, honking, and stopping the vehicle.'

Golden Retrievers are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and trainability. They are commonly used as service dogs and excel at tasks such as fetching objects and following commands.
