On September 18, multiple cities across China sounded air raid sirens to mark the 94th anniversary of the “September 18 Incident.”

During the wailing of the sirens, several pet owners captured their dogs instinctively howling along, resembling wolves raising their heads to the sky.

The footage, filmed in Enshi (Hubei), Mianyang (Sichuan), Jieyang (Guangdong), and Suzhou (Jiangsu), shows the synchronized reaction across different regions.

Experts note that since dogs evolved from wolves, siren sounds may trigger their natural instinct to howl—once used by wolves in the wild to communicate with their pack or defend territory.
