Los Angeles, United States - September 25, 2025 09/24/2025 10:50 pm GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers initiated a foot pursuit of a man with a gun in the area of Venice and Flower. They successfully apprehended the suspect and recovered the firearm. Shortly after, officers were informed about another man who had been shot on Venice Boulevard, just west of Figueroa. Officers quickly responded to the scene, where they found a male victim who was conscious and breathing but had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. While investigating, officers received information that another suspect may have fled west on Venice Boulevard. They located this second suspect at the intersection of Venice and Bonnie Brae and took him into custody as well. The motive behind the initial shooting remains unclear.
