Tens of thousands of Palestinians fleeing northern Gaza are struggling with overcrowding and severe shortages of water, food, and medical care in the central and southern parts of the strip. In the heart of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, more than 650 displaced families are sheltering under increasingly difficult conditions. Many who arrived in recent weeks found no available space, forcing them to squeeze into existing tents, hosted by relatives, friends, and neighbors who had arrived earlier. Um Younis Khobbiza, a resident, said she divided her own tent into two to accommodate others who could not find space elsewhere. The situation remains desperate for displaced families, with severe shortages of food and water compounding their hardship. Charities can only provide one meal per day, which is neither sufficient nor accessible to all.
