Prime Minister Keir Starmer told delegates that his government supports US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan, describing it as a chance to end fighting, free hostages, and urgently increase aid deliveries. He said the initiative should revive hopes for a two-state solution, with Israel living securely alongside a Palestinian state that the UK now officially recognizes. Starmer also used his speech to reject racism and attacks on migrants, warning that those calling for deportations are “enemies of national renewal.” He vowed to secure borders against human smugglers while ensuring Britain remains a country that offers refuge to those fleeing persecution. The conference also addressed domestic issues including the economy, healthcare, education, and security.
