The Devil Wears Prada actress first teamed up with the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star for 2021's Jungle Cruise and they are currently promoting their second collaboration, the sports biopic The Smashing Machine. The friends and frequent co-stars wasted no time in setting up their next joint effort and pitched an idea for a Hawaii-set mob story to Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio in February. The project is currently being written. Divulging more details about the film, Blunt told Deadline: "We're developing it right now. It's a really astonishing story. It's the last great American mob story, and I can't believe it hasn't been told yet. It's a terribly exciting role for (Johnson) to kind of dig into. So, it's being written, we're working on it. And that's the wonderful part, is building it.”
