Dramatic GMP Police Chase Ends in Armed Arrest on King Street, Dukinfield
This dramatic footage shows the moment Greater Manchester Police officers arrest a suspect following a short pursuit through Tameside in August 2022.
The chase began after reports of a stabbing in Ashton-under-Lyne and ended at the junction of King Street and Wharf Street in Dukinfield, where officers surrounded the suspect on Central Estate.
Video shows several police units arriving with tasers drawn as the man is ordered to the ground amid shouts and tense exchanges.
Although recorded in 2022, the footage offers a rare look into the high pressure reality of day to day policing in Greater Manchester and could resurface in connection with crime or policing stories.
