Dominican Republic: Red Alert Issued as Tropical Storm Melissa Approaches
Tropical Storm Melissa formed in the Atlantic and approached the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, October 21, bringing heavy rain and causing flash flooding in several areas. The government placed several provinces under a red alert and ordered the suspension of classes and reduced working hours for Wednesday and Thursday.
