Kirby was being disturbed by my hiccups and I found it amusing, so I took my phone out to record him, when suddenly I caught him jolting up three times! My initial thought was that he also had the hiccups/was mocking me, but I later realised it was a case of static shock! A lot of people speculated this being because of my type of duvet cover, but this was a very isolated incident and I’ve never really seen it happen since. I’m currently sitting here typing this on the same bed cover and he is spread out right beside me without a care in the world. Safe to say he’s forgotten and still loves these sheets. But it did make me more aware that other people have experiences with particular bedsheets that cause this phenomenon, and it was a laugh to hear all their cat stories shared in the comments.
