Viral Monkey Mask Street Performers / “Ronggeng Kunyuk”
Viral Monkey Mask Street Performers / “Ronggeng Kunyuk”
This is what’s called a topeng monyet or ronggeng kunyuk street performance.
These two performers walk from alley to alley, moving through neighborhoods while bringing along a monkey and a tape recorder for music. They usually look for crowded spots.
Each of them has their own role — one handles and controls the monkey, while the other collects money from the audience.
In this performance, a trained monkey is made to imitate various human behaviors, such as riding a mini bicycle, lifting weights, praying, or wearing a mask. The show is accompanied by music from the tape recorder, creating a lively atmosphere that draws people’s attention, especially children.
They are both buskers who perform monkey mask attractions.
Those involved are those who are directly involved as buskers. Mister Tatang and Mister Sani, aged around 40 years.
Occurred on October 25, 2025. at 09.34 am to 09.42 am in the Serua Bojongsari Depok sub-district, West Java, Indonesia.
I filmed it myself. I recorded it directly using an Oppo A9 Android 10 cellphone.
They busked around the village with monkey mask performances accompanied by music from a tape recorder.
I haven't shared it anywhere yet. I only shared it on Newsflare.
