JARMAQ, LEBANON (OCTOBER 30, 2025) (ANADOLU-ACCESS ALL)

1. VARIOUS WIDE SHOTS OF MASSIVE SMOKE RISING FROM TARGETED AREA JARMAQ, LEBANON - OCTOBER 30: Israel confirmed on Thursday, Oct. 30, that it had carried out airstrikes on targets in southern Lebanon, an action it claims was directed at the Hezbollah group.

The Israeli army stated that its air force, led by the Northern Command, struck an infrastructure, a launcher, and a squad of Hezbollah in the Al Mahmudiya area.

Earlier reports from local Lebanese media indicated that the Israeli military had conducted air raids on two separate points, targeting Jarmaq and Al-Mahmudiyah regions.

Lebanese authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the strikes or potential casualties.

These latest strikes occur against the backdrop of a fragile ceasefire. The agreement, which was reached between Hezbollah and Israel in November 2024, has been repeatedly tested.

According to previous reports, Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 4,500 times since its inception, resulting in hundreds of civilian casualties.

The conflict escalated from earlier hostilities, which began with an Israeli attack on Lebanon in October 2023 and grew into a large-scale war by September 2024. The war resulted in over 4,000 fatalities and approximately 17,000 injuries.

Furthermore, Israel continues to occupy five hills in Lebanon that it captured during the recent conflict, in addition to maintaining its presence in other areas it has held for decades.
