ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - NOV. 2: Thousands of people participated in the public run of the 47th Turkiye Is Bankasi Istanbul Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 2, organized by Spor Istanbul, an affiliate of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
The 8-kilometer race started near the 15 July Martyrs Bridge Metrobus Station on the Asian side and ended in front of the Tupras Stadium in Dolmabahce.
Participants enjoyed the scenic Bosphorus views, took photos on the bridge, and shared cheerful moments throughout the route. Families, children, and amateur runners joined the event, creating colorful scenes.
Some runners carried Turkish flags and banners expressing solidarity with Palestine as they crossed the bridge.
The Istanbul Marathon, one of Türkiye’s most established international sporting events, is known as the only marathon in the world run between two continents.
