Belgrade, Serbia - November 02, 2025 Tensions ran high outside Serbia&'s parliament in Belgrade on Sunday (November 2) as hundreds of protesters came to support Dijana Hrka, a mother whose child died in last year&'s railway station roof collapse in Novi Sad. Hrka started a hunger strike outside the Belgrade parliament building on Sunday demanding justice for her son and 15 other people killed in the accident. Demonstrators who blame the government for the collapse, citing corruption and nepotism as the cause for the shoddy construction of the station roof, shouted Hrka&'s name &'Dijana&' at supporters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, standing behind a row of riot police.
