A routine training session turned into a shocking moment when climber Hasby fell after a hold suddenly broke during an indoor bouldering workout. The clip, posted to Instagram by @hasbiverticaljourney, has now reached 267,000 views.

Hasby was tackling an overhang route with large holds when one gave way under the combined force of his grip and his 90kg body weight. He was thrown backwards but, remarkably, escaped without injury.

While bouldering at an indoor gym in Jakarta, I was working on an overhang route with several large holds. As I put strong pressure on one of the holds—combined with my body weight of around 90 kg—the hold suddenly detached from the wall. I was thrown backward, but thankfully I wasn’t injured. This incident was recorded while I was training alone.
