On a quiet afternoon in the mountains, a small child climbed up a steep hillside. The ground was rough, the wind was light, and the air felt calm. While the child was looking around, a big brown horse suddenly appeared from behind the big grass.
At first, the child was surprised. The horse was tall, strong, and silent. But when the child touched its face, the horse didn’t move away. It lowered its head, as if it already trusted the child.
The two of them stood on the slope, looking at the wide view below. It felt like the beginning of something new an unexpected friendship. The child held onto the horse, and the horse stayed still, like a guardian watching over its tiny human.
From that moment on, the mountains didn’t feel scary anymore.
The child wasn’t alone and the horse wasn’t either.
