More than 200 riders competed in a horse racing event held in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Saturday. As the starting gates flew open, riders burst forth like arrows, their mounts galloping at full speed and rolling up clouds of dust. "I'm from Shandong. I'm here to race in the 1600-meter and 2000-meter events. I prepared myself for six months and came here 20 days in advance to get familiar with the venue. I met with many excellent riders and hope to get a very good result in this competition," said Liu Jiankai, a participant. Concluded on Sunday, this game featured multiple events, including speed performance test races, walking races, and hybrid horse speed races.
