Spring, United States - November 24, 2025 The National Weather Service Houston has confirmed an EF1 tornado with estimated winds of 95 mph briefly touched down in Spring around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, November 24, during a line of severe thunderstorms that triggered tornado warnings across southeast North Texas. The tornado remained on the ground for about two minutes, cutting a narrow path roughly 0.3 miles long and 50 yards wide. It caused minor structural damage to several homes in the Gleannloch Farms subdivision. No injuries were reported, but downed power lines and uprooted trees left hundreds of residents without power overnight, according to Oncor reports. Eyewitness video recorded by local resident RiftRyderz on X shows the moment from a front doorstep as debris swirls under a dark, rotating wall cloud. Porch lights flicker in gusty winds and distant thunder, while branches and patio furniture are seen flying just feet from the camera in the 28-second clip, which has drawn more than 5,000 views. “Not the best but here was my video and pics of the tornado in Spring Texas! Surreal looking out your doorstep and seeing flying debris,” RiftRyderz posted on X. NWS survey teams arrived Tuesday morning and documented snapped large tree limbs, shingle damage on several roofs, and a detached carport thrown into a nearby fence, findings consistent with EF1 tornado damage. Forecasters said the storm system was driven by a cold front colliding with warm Gulf moisture. The same line of storms also produced hail up to quarter-size in nearby areas and flash flooding along I-45.
