Madame Tussauds London has unveiled the first-ever wax figure of global superstar Gillian Anderson OBE. Behind-the-scenes footage captures her first reaction to meeting the figure, dressed in her headline-making “Vulva” dress. Designed by Gabriela Hearst and worn at the 2024 Golden Globes, the gown quickly became a cultural talking point. Gabriela has now donated the original dress to the attraction, complete with jewellery, metallic platform heels and a matching bag. Gillian says recreating this moment made perfect sense, calling the dress a symbol of empowerment, bodily autonomy and freedom from shame. She hopes fans will stand beside it and “revel in the audacity of it”. Madame Tussauds' team worked with the actress for a year to perfect the figure.
