UNCAPTIONED: Sean Combs' mum slams Netflix over claims he hit her
Sean Combs' mum slams Netflix over claims he hit her. Janice Combs, has slammed Netflix over claims in its documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Janice issued a statement to "correct some of the lies" presented in the film, which was released on 2 December. The octogenarian matriarch told Deadline: "These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean's upbringing and family life is intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.” Having been in the Manhattan courtroom for almost every day of her now incarcerated son's two month-long trial this summer on sex trafficking and RICO charges, the elder Combs insists her son's nemesis, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson produced a show that is pockmarked with lies. Calling out the streamer for going "salacious to promote the series", Janice centred on claims that her son once took out his rage on her. ”The allegations stated by Mr Kirk Burrows that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on 28 December 1991, are inaccurate and patently false.” "That was a very sad day for all of us," she said of the incident of when an overly packed New York CIty event promoted by her son led to the death of nine people and saw dozens more injured. ”For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his, Bad Boy Records, is wrong, outrageous and past offensive.” In a 1 December cease and desist letter from his attorneys, Combs called Reckoning a "hit piece", claiming that 50 Cent's participation was "corporate retaliation”.
